Backgrounds

Set Background

Changes the background image of the scene.

Syntax:

<<set_background "[BackgroundName]">>

Parameters:

BackgroundNametextThe name of the background you want to display

How it finds the sprite: The command automatically looks for an image named backgroundname (all lowercase). For example, <<set_background "classroom">> will change to the sprite named classroom.

Examples:

<<set_background "classroom">>
Teacher: Welcome to History class!

Changes the scene to show a classroom background.

<<set_background "park">>
Character: What a beautiful day for a walk!
<<wait 2>>
<<set_background "park_sunset">>
Character: Oh wow, look at that sunset!

Starts in a park during daytime, then transitions to a sunset version of the same park.

Narrator: The next morning...
<<set_background "bedroom">>
Character: Time to start a new day!

Switches to a bedroom scene to match the narration.
